This workshop will review key strategies around recruitment and board member retention. It will deconstruct the process needed to build an effective leadership team that can work together to fulfill a collective set of responsibilities and help the nonprofit achieve its mission.

In this workshop, participants will:

• Discuss the strengths and deficits in its current board;

• Develop strategies to engage in a healthy dialogue about recruiting new members;

• Identify tactics for the recruitment process; and

• Discuss the steps required to quickly orient and engage new board members.
